AI Geometry Dash Levels

During the summer of 2025, I had an idea to create an AI that had the ability to create Geometry Dash level layouts. I started, but quickly became bored in the process. I decided to focus elsewhere because I had other responsibilities in real life at this point.

Around late March 2026, I regained interest in this project. I started working on it again, but had quickly run into a roadblock. I was running out of high quality training data to use. This was a serious problem since the AI "levels" could only place objects randomly, and had no real sense of where objects should go. I named the first iteration of this AI "LayoutGPT-1".

I had then decided to make a Reddit and YouTube post about this project. These posts both asked anyone who came across it to please send levels that THEY have made (preferably layouts) in the comments of each post. Thanks to the wonderful volunteers who you can find on the posts and at the table at the bottom of this very page, I was able to make the next iteration, LayoutGPT-2. After the completion of LayoutGPT-2, I posted a video on my YouTube channel about it. I also posted an AI generated level to my Geometry Dash account, Andgo122. If you would like to play it, it is right there.

If you have any new levels for me to use as training data, I have a Google Form for that purpose. Please make sure that you send one of your own levels, or that you have permission to submit the level if it isn't yours. This is to protect the integrity of the project, and to make sure that all training data is consensual.

I am working actively on the final iteration of this AI, LayoutGPT-3, which will intuitively understand the difference between different gamemodes. Once that version is finished, I will be creating much more content related to this AI, mostly just a video and some shorts on YouTube.

Important note, THIS PROJECT WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE PUBLICALLY. This is to protect the integrity of real Geometry Dash layouts, similarly to how Generative AI has ruined other creative spaces. I cannot in good conscience do this to one of my favorite games. That being said, I would be happy to show a livestream/timelapse of a level being generated or even generating levels specifically for content creators. Once I finish LayoutGPT-3, please contact me by email for this purpose, but I will also probably respond if you contact me any other way. Except for instagram DMs. I don't check those (or I do, but every few months).
